Baby Teeth!
Well good news, the boys are all better. Mathew started his job this week and is liking it. He already has a steady schedule , which is a great blessing. I have to speak in church this Sunday, which is going to make it a busy sacrament meeting for me. At least I don't have to teach the lesson in our primary class too. I also found out that Tristan's first baby teeth came poking through this week. If you can manage to get a look in his mouth you can see two of them making there way through on the bottom. I will try and get a picture and post it. It's so exciting to watch him grow. Call me crazy but I can't wait until he can crawl, even if it means chasing him around. Motherhood is the best, most exhausting yet thrilling job ever and I am loving every minute of it.

Matt found a job!
Well, this week has gone by fast! The weather is finally staying pretty cool around here which is just how I like it. Mathew has had two job interviews this week and we just found out that he has a job! YAY... It has been so hard trying to find him a job down here but we finally found him one at a local Pizza Hut no less. It's such a blessing not to have to worry about that. He starts this coming Wednesday. On a sadder note the boys have been sick these past couple of days. Mathew more so than the baby but it has still been hard. It's a good thing it happened toward the end of the week and he didn't have to miss any school. Fortunately I haven't gotten sick and they seem to be getting better quickly.

Camano Island and Friday Harbor
This last week-end we decided on a whim to go camping. Mathew loves to check out all the Islands around Seattle, so we decided we would pick one and go camping. We waited until Tristan had his nap and then set off. We drove north and stopped at Wal-Mart to get a tent and other little camping necessities. Then we aimlessly drove around and tried to decide which island we wanted to stay at.
Eventually we decided that we would stay on Camano Island. Once we got onto the island we drove until we found the state park with it's wonderful campground. They had a nice set up at the park so we paid for our spot and then set up camp. After we went to check out the beach. I have to say that one of the best parts about living in Seattle are all of the beaches. It was beautiful and peaceful. We watched the sunset and then headed back to camp to put the baby to bed.
One of my favorite parts of camping is watching all the stars at night. It's wonderful because you are away from city lights and can really see the stars. The next morning we woke up early(, thanks to Tristan) and headed out. We decided that since we were so close we would go to Anacortes and take the ferry to The San Juan Islands. It's was a nice drive and we love all the green plants and old highways.
Once we got to Anacortes, we parked and then had to run to buy our tickets and catch the ferry on time. We decided to go to Friday Harbor. This is another thing I like about living in Seattle; all the ferry rides. It was a beautiful ride to the island and the weather couldn't have been better. We spent the rest of the afternoon looking in the little shops and exploring Friday Harbor. Then we caught the five o'clock ferry and headed home. It was great to get out and explore.

Sunday was great. We watched Stake Conference and I thought it was awesome that we got to hear the prophet speak. It was an uplifting meeting. Not long after we went to our Bringing Baby Home class. This is a class that we do every Sunday with other couples in our ward that are about to have kids or have recently had a child. It is to help with the transition to parenthood, not only with a new baby but with our relationships with our spouses. I am learning a lot and enjoy the class very much. After we went to a couple in our wards home for dinner and games. It was a wonderful week-end.

We went to the Tri-Cities last weekend for some friends weddings and to visit family. It was a ton of fun! This is Tristan playing at the Wicks while we were there. I was very excited to go home and see everyone. I went to the Erin Anderson's wedding and reception and I have to say it was great being in the temple. There truly is nothing like it. It was amazing how many couples got married that week-end too. We heard of lots of weddings and got to go to the Banks reception.
Also, I got to see Sadie, which was amazing! I hadn't seen her since my wedding and it was great to catch up and visit. The trip was the best and I was sad when we had to leave. We will have to go home again. Hopefully for Thanksgiving and Christmas, if the roads aren't terrible.
I know I haven't written in awhile so i need to do some catching up! Before we visited family, they came to see us. First it was because of the crazy heat wave we were having and our dire need for an air conditioner! Luckily for us my Uncle had one he could spare, so my Mother-In-Law brought it up along with one she had gotten for us! We were so happy to have not only one, but two air conditioners to help keep us cool.
Along with her were my two sisters and younger brother Jacob. She stayed the week-end but they stayed until the whole week with us. It was a party, let me tell you! We played endless rounds of Uno and went everywhere we could think of. Including the beach, park, lake, gun wall and pike place market. We also made pizza and had tons of fun being together!

The next week-end my family came up to get the kids and have our first ever Marley Family Reunion! Which was awesome. Mom and Dad got a hotel room and my brother and his family stayed with us. It was so much fun to have everyone up here with us. We went shopping, to the movies, out to dinner and swimming a the hotel. It was the best Birthday ever! They stayed that weekend and then they all went home in time for church on Sunday.
Now we are up to date with this past month. Up to last week-end at least. This week-end Mathew's friend Eddie has been visiting while doing some tests for the Fire Department. It's been nice for Matt to have a guy to hang out with. All in all, it's been a great month. Church is going great; and our primary class is wonderful. We are getting ready to go on a ward camp-out this week-end on Bainbridge Island and Matt is doing well in school. It has been a great month! :)

OK, so this post is kind of late. Well, actually like a week late but better late than never right? We've been trying to keep up with what's going on around Seattle now that we live here. So we went to part of the Seafair activities. It all starts with pirates. Yeah Pirates! They dress up and everything. They come up and land at Alki Beach and that starts the festivities. There are tons of activities including parades.
One of the parades was on the street below us, so we decided to go. We got a good spot and waited and to my surprise it was fun. This parade didn't have the big floats and all that like the bigger one downtown did but it was fun. I still can't believe how many drill teams there are in Seattle. I do suppose it would be a fun after school or summer activity though. The coolest part by far was the end when the pirates came down with there ship and let off a loud bomb of smoke. :)
It's been a fun experience and this weekend the boat races will be coming our way. Along with the Blue Angels airshow. We plan on watching it on TV since most of it is on Sunday and it is too hot to hang out in the sun.

Here it goes again, another week in Seattle. This weeks been pretty mellow but Sunday was interesting. We did the meet and greet with the new bishopric and got some callings. Together Me and Mathew teach the CTR 6 class in Primary and I am also the ward music director. That's right I lead the music like my mom did in sacrament. I thought it was kind of a funny coincidence.
It has been nice though, since it has given me something to do while I am at home. I think it's lucky I have so much time to prepare. We were just happy they didn't ask us to speak too. I really like getting to choose the songs we are going to sing. I love going through the hymn book and figuring out which songs will work the best. As for our Primary class, there is also another teacher in the class with us. His name is Bro. Stoker (wonder if he's related to Danny?), and he is teaching next week while we get settled. There are 12 kids in the class, so I am sure we will all be busy; especially with Tristan being with us.
Mathew did try his hand at cooking these past few days and I think I could happily hand that responsibility right over. He is really good at it and he loves to make things from scratch. It seems like I am always at the grocery store getting the items for that nights surprise dish. It's fun and it's nice to have a break. Now if he would just get on those dirty diapers. ;)
Today I decided to be daring (and since I was sick of being stuck in the apartment); I tried driving the car. Yep, Matt's stubborn stick shift. The greatest part was that I did pretty well. I have been practicing now and again. I only had to restart once and though the ride is still a little bumpy, I'd say I did a good job. I got all the way to Target and Ross and then home again in one piece. Tristan even took a nap on the way home, so it couldn't have been that bad. It felt good to get further than our block and the other cars were surprisingly nice. No one even honked, many happily went around when I was going too slow. In all, I was proud of myself. :)
